Just finished reading a short story called "The Royal Game" by Stefan
Zweig-- it is contained in the book of the same title. It was published
back in 1944 by Viking Press, got mine at a university library, but if
you can get your hands on it, it is well worth the effort, and will give
you something to do while you wait for opponents to move😉

It's a pretty short story-- only 71 pages, I didn't read the other stories
in the book. But there's always The Defense by Nabokov, the book
which was made into the movie The Luzhin Defense. That should take
up any free time you have on your cruise😉
