In my mothers case, she saw her mother stay at home and live like a baby making machine [11 siblings], so their own daughters were cautioned to focus on education and career. This was back in the 1940s, when the feminist movement did a world of good for women.
Ignoring her advice, inadvertently, gave me the family I have today.
