I have been working on the a new 'from the browser' RHP Live in recent days. As it is so easy to distribute and run (unlike RHP Live 1 in .Net) I have decided to release stuff as I go just for the fun of it – some of you might like to track its progress (and some early feedback would probably help).
So, here it is, version 0.0.1. No multiplayer yet, just a simple piece moving and move validation test - against a stupid opponent. (I use it for testing - it matches my ability. 😕 )

Yeah, I was just messing with the colours. 2 minutes before I uploaded it, you couldn’t even see the black pieces on black tiles - so I made a quick change - but now I know you all hate that colour scheme, that rules that one out. [I will probably offer a choice in the final version anyway]
I am encouraged by the lack of : 'Hey, I couldn't get it running!!!'

Ooooh. New stuff. Like it. Especially that browny beige thing 😲 Only joking - what colour is that anyway?
One thing I'm not sure of is the way the pieces, especially the pawns, tilt when being picked up. Also the pawns look like they've slipped down the squares - they're not really in the middle. And those rooks look super fat, and I'm saying super. That's just being picky though.
What's people's fastest win been? After a tricky opening and a murky middle game I managed a strong finish to snatch a win in around 4,420 on the counter.
