Songs......and memories

General

I recently heard "Soul and Inspiration" by "The Righteous Brothers", and it touched a nerve, reminding me of a relationship that didn't work out. But then my thoughts shifted to the fact that this song came out years before I was born, and was likely listened to "live" by my parents, who probably had just met, and were dating. Their marriage ultimately ended in divorce, and I imagined that my father would hear that song and feel the pain from his own failed relationship to my Mother. They have both since passed away, and my thoughts shifted to memories of them. So one song had me reminiscing over multiple events in my life. Most songs do that, I suppose, especially when they're well written.

Any songs bring back memories for you? Whether good or bad?

Great music.

Another heartbreak song, Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty 😢😢😢

A great song but still makes me feel miserable, even though I got over him ... eventually.

Another curious one was The Byrds cover of Mr Tambourine Man, it gave me the weirdest feeling of both euphoria & gloominess as my impending puberty began a-kindling.

@drewnogal
I walked into the kirk nightclub and asked my future wife to dance the song was Alright Now by the Free and now 51 years later its still Alright Now.
