Some idiot started a rumor that too many people were clicking on it and it was causing the site to slow down too much. But no one liked that rumor so they started another one that Russ got tired of seeing all the vulgar and insulting posts at the top of the rec list and Plabby had to kill someone in Reno to get a rec so Russ was aiding and abetting one of his moderators and decided to shut it down temporarly. But this question should go in the rumor thread.
