Has anyone noticed spam to their email as a result of RHP services. I tried to look closely at the terms of service, and they were fairly ambiguous. There was a clause that definitely gave room for it. Anybody have any complaints?

You can receive - out of the name of RHP - move reminders, and move notifications. Both can be switched off under My Settings.

I would expect it would be from somewhere else, I have had none how many other places have you given your email to?

I haven't had any. I was just checking before I started signing up my friends


I have had trouble with other online chess services in the past. I didn't want to ruin my friends' accounts.

I have never received any 'spam' email associated with this site. I get junk mail from about everywhere else, but as far as I know none is caused from being a member of RHP.

What I do receive from RHP is a notification when someone accepts an open invite that I have created, and you will also receive another notification if someone accepts an open invite then turns around and deletes the game. I would not call this 'spam' or junk email, and I don't believe there is an option to turn this off.

As already mentioned, you can also receive email notification when it is your turn to move in each of your games, unless you have it turned off in your settings.
