I love it for allowing us to exist, and for giving us the aurora borealis. I don't love it for being way too bright and hot. Many people here find the "dark time" (the time in winter during which the sun doesn't rise, about six weeks here) difficult to deal with; I love it. On the other hand, the midnight sun is kind of cool, too.
