Walking up to Tesco's for a night cap last night with a couple of friends. Just been to check out the new bar in Prestwich. Anyway, just as we were passing the post office, this lad pedalled past on a bike and started talking to us. I can't remember what he was saying. He then dismounted his cycle and and started to swing for my two mates. Of course they defended themselves, or tried to. One took a huge swing for the guy and missed. The other one landed a few drunken blows. As this is all happening I was crossing a side street just offthe main road and this car came flying round the corner and headed straight at me. SPLAT! I was stunned. I eventually manged to get myself to my feet, by which time, my two friends were on the other side of the road. Finaly the car drove off.
What concerns me, is that one of my friends told me that whilst I was on the floor, more youths got out of the car and joined in the attack on them. It now seems that I was splatted on purpose. Fortunately none of us were seriously hurt.
A night out to forget methinks. 😲
