Squid Game...culture of the 21st century

So the hype got me and my wife and we watched the firsttwo episodes.

Granted the basic idea to follow desperate people who take desparate decisions has some ring to it.

BUT need there be so much blood? Is that what will stay? Or the struglles of the protagonists?

Is this the future of humanity? There can be only one winner, so why cooperate? Yuk.

So we broke off quite soon, since it was just too much for us.

I have heard that there is a problem with children reenacting this. Last I looked it was rated 16+ and we would have thought 18+ more appropriate.
