I don't know. I kinda like it. I sat for about five minutes earlier today and looked at it in full size. It's a real beauty.

{Something that peaked my interest is that if you go to the root of the domain where that image is hosted (http://www.dogstarr.org.uk/) you are recommended to go visit another site with a band called Bob the Dog. As a swede (interested in music) that just blew me away. There's a swedish cultband (been around since the early nineties to my knowledge) called Bob hund, and guess what that translates to in english? That's right: Bob the dog. Coinsidence? Hmmmm...}

{And what do you know? If it ain't our Starrman right there in the profiles: http://www.bobthedog.me.uk/profiles.htm .}

Isn't it against TOS to use a picture of chancremachanic for your avatar without his permission?

I know of Bob Hund, we came across them a few years ago, just after we found our name. We thought it would be cool if, one day, Bob The Dog supported Bob Hund πŸ™‚

It's bad enough to not have a "willie" of your own in the first place, but do you really need more than one?

So, how did you come up with the name Bob The Dog? You have to admit, it's kinda sensational that two bands, ignorant of each others existence would come up with that exact same name.

Not that it really matters. Bob hund has a swedish audience only (as far as I know). Their music is quite unique. In their own words: "vi spelar musik för att vardagen inte räcker till" ("we play music because the weekday is not enough" ). And that's why I've been listening to Bob Hund for so many years. They don't play to become commercially successful. They experiment and they have fun doing it. It rubs off on the listener (it's a treat when you get to see them live).

I doubt that you two could play the same concert though. Your music is not bad but very different from that of Bob Hund. I think you may have a different audience altogether. Although it would be fun to see the posters: "Live! Friday night at fryshuset: Bob The Dog and Bob Hund". πŸ™‚

{Well, to a swede that's an amusing poster.}

Now there's a story: My friend Mel, our vocalist, went on holiday to Sardinia with some friends to stay in a villa. Whilst they were there they had a barbecue, during which a local dog came over and stole a sausage off the grill. About two seconds later, having consumed it, it vomitted it up again, prompting none of the other holiday makers to eat the sausages. His collar said he was called Bob and he hug around most of their holiday. So, back in England, we're recording our first track and Mel's recounting to me this story whilst I'm adjusting the levels for her mic from the control room. Unbeknownst to her, I have pressed record and upon playback with the rest of the track, it all kind of just fits. You can hear it here:

And that's the story of how we came to be called Bob The Dog πŸ™‚
