Or, just be open. Stick to it.

I have, on several occasions, tried that and always seem to get stuck with my foot in my mouth.🙄😠

Happens to me too - is it a matter of timing...?

Sometimes, I'm sure, but more often than not it's about sticking in your first thought as opposed to weighing the different ways of answering a question perhaps.

So what would you recommend that we do, people like you and me - apologize and be more careful or just continue as we are, hoping that our friends will understand and stick around? 🙂

I found that when asked a question like, "Do I look fat in these black jeans?", instead of saying, "Yes", perhaps sticking something like, "I really like you in those green ones", is a better choice.

It might be the best answer, you know your partner - if she is happy with that, then it's fine. At least we know that the other answer would be absolutely wrong.

I had always been the type of person who, when asked a question, gave an honest answer, but soon learned that the questioner wasn't always expecting me to be quite so honest, rather expecting me to stick in an option number two or three. 🙂

Some questions don't require a straight-forward answer, that's what I mean with 'timing'. It could still be true though.

I have and will continue to stick with either option two or three. 😉

I just have to stick a notes "around", to remind me. My partner has stopped asking me why they're there and what they mean. 😉

Like many other long-lasting marriages. 🙂

I finished Fist of God and enjoyed it. I am now reading James Patterson's "Private Berlin". I really like his short chapters as I am often interrupted during reading.

I have been sticking to gardening on my balcony today, now that's a good sign of spring approaching! Geraniums, lavender and new planting soil. Vacuum cleaning as well. Window cleaner will be here in a couple of weeks. A new life.
