when I was 14 I had a pet mold.
I was experimenting around, had a nice train transformer, big
sucker, and mixed up a bunch of vitamins in a little vat of water
and put two carbon sticks from flashlight batteries as electrodes
into the water, I may have added some salt for conductivity, and
fed it about 8 or 9 volts ac for about 2 weeks. The strangest
filimentary mold started growing in this electrically stimulated fluid.
It was fascinating, I had a very early electified pet rock basically!
