I just inadvertantly clicked on a star and read that one benefit for subscribers is "no more adverts". Do non-stars get pop-up ads and such on RHP?

In theory, yes. But I guess most people use an ad-blocker anyway.

I thought it was banner ads not popups. And the occasional nag screen telling you to subscribe.
