i wasn't trying to make drink-driving sound like a soft crime. I am aware that it contriutes to many deaths on the road a year. What my point in my orignal post was that motorists (particulary in the UK) that more attention is paid to their speeds and parking tickets, it is this factor of a totalitarian state where the motorist is hounded.
