    In defence of the BBC, that "new era" was a verbatim quote. Most of the other text and quotes weren't so stupid. Perhaps it could have been posted with a header to make it clearer that it was just another daily record, like "hottest day since 1943" items which appear on a slow news day.

    We need the BBC, it's one of the few reliable news sources left, along with our ABC. Only my personal opinion, of course.
