Superficiality Rules Our World

From grossly inept international policies, unfocused executive branch decisions, myopic legislative agendas, shallow public discourse,

biased media coverage, asinine television programming, lowest common denominator advertising and devalued currency to overrated

internet sites (blogs, spaces, rooms and bulletin boards, including the RHP General Forum). Just a mark of the times. No big deal.

Seconded. Not to mention what some people think as the number one priority in a significant other: looks.

Are you kidding? Only a fool wouldn't judge another based upon how they look.

So you can go through RHP faces and tell who is a good driver, who pays their bills on time, who helps the poor/needy/downtrodden, who reads a lot, who is depressed, who is a reliable employee, etc.? What are you determining by looking at someone?

Exactly my point, you are determining absolutely nothing at all. Basing people off of just what you see is pretty much useless considering all the posers out there, as well as those who like to let us say 'under-dress' in terms of who they actually are or their personality.

Objectively, seems that outer physical beauty as well as inner character

beauty both matter. One may dominate early. The other never fades.

Sounds like a big deal to me. Anyone got a solution?

Buy a truckload of "The Dwarf", drive down the main road and throw copies
on people's heads maybe?

Throwing them on their heads is superficial. You have to force them down their throats.

Don't be silly -- this is only an Internet chat forum.

RHP Faces is a web site with photographs of some of the members. If you judge people by their looks, then doesn't that mean you can look at their photographs and determine these things? Or else what is it exactly that you determine by looking at someone?
