Just wondered, what with just venturing out to the corner shop now presenting a level of risk. What other kind of risks do people take here? Are you the cautious type or do you crave dangerous sports etc?

Apart from moving about in the city, I live a quiet life. At least I'm not taking any unnecessary risks.

When I leave my door step to go out, I never know if I'll be back for sure. One never knows what can happen while out.

    i have jumped from cliffs
    twice tied to a rope
    i have swimmed with sharks
    in a cage cause i ain't dope

i have flown from motorcycle seats
    ejected from a horse's saddle
steered a canoe thru the darkest swamp
fought alligators with just a paddle

    i once tried to vote
    WITHOUT A PICTURE ID
i took a spaceship ride to mars
just to see what i could see

    being married to a woman
is the most dangerous thing i've tried
it really wasn't all that bad
    being handcuffed, gagged, and hogtied

other than that i'm sorta like mr rogers inna lime green cardigan

I’m risk adverse these days but in my teens and twenties I had a recklessness of life which nearly cost me it a few times.

    Mostly motorcycle associated.

I'm far too risk averse to tell tales of teenage risk taking, especially the stuff that lasted into my twenties!

Well if we go back to teens and early twenties I believe many of us would be guilty of being reckless.

    Indeed.

I read somewhere that until 18ish the fear of loss of life associated with risk taking isn’t present in most people.

Risk in any endeavor can be minimized through knowledge, preparation and caution. Increase one and your risk goes down. Increase them all and you can reduce your risk considerably.

Here is a simple solution don't even think about it. What will be will be, nothing we can do about it the way I see it.

And live your life cowering in the corner?

Might be okay for you, I guess, but not for everyone.
