Just a quicky to say watch out for atwood2, who claims to have been tutored by the great Yasser Seirawan.
Well if this is the case why would he need to have another account atwood1, which have lost their first 11 matches to genuine RHP players and then use the next 13 matches to be checkmated by his alter ego atwood2, most of which have the same moves.
So if atwood2 was taught by Y.S. and is supposed to have the rating he says he has got why does he need to boost his own rating by playing against himself.

Am I wrong in thinking that there was supposed to be steps in place to avoid people using multiple accounts to boost ratings.
Thanks to everyone who let me know about this.
I have now dealt with it.
Atwood2 did confess to me, listing all of his fake accounts, and offered an explanation for his behaviour. (Not that it justified what he had done)
Rather than apply a ban, I have decided to reduce his rating to a non-provisional 1200.
We will be adding email verification at registration as some point in the future - that will put an end to behaviour like this for all but the most committed.
