24 hours to go!

Post your predictions here.

I reckon England 2 - 1 but the Aussies will win the first test.

Win for England, 2-1 depsite the Aussies looking to win 2 others rain will cause the matches to be abandoned, much to my amusement.

3 wins to Oz, 1 to poms with 1 draw

There might be some rain affected draws, but (as you'll see) I'm an optimist so I'm going for 3-2 to England with the first Test being won by England to fly in the face of tradition and the final at the Oval being a thrilling decider.
Okay, this might be more fantasy than prediction...

I believe the Aussies will pull through, but I'm rooting for England.
Go boys!

I just think England may lack batting depth.
Tresco and Strauss are good attacking openers, but what if they fail a quickly? How is Vaughan's form now? He didn't look so hot here last season.
Bell I don't really know, saw him once here.
Then you have Pieterson, Flintoff and Jones - all very attacking batsmen, but how will they do in a test with pressure on them if the top order fails? Jones, Giles and even Hoggard showed they can frustrate bowlers, but can they win tests?

NOOOOOOO!!!!

Not ANOTHER crappy 'take over the TV' sport! We just had the frickin' Tennis, we don't need another one! Why can't they put these stupid tournaments on Pay-per-view!

You probably don't watch C4 anyway - stick to ITV!!

EDIT: Anyway you wish will pretty much be granted from next year - cricket is going Sky only. I, for one, will not be able to afford £250 a year to watch it 🙁

Well, contrary to my earlier post I am always pessimistic about our batting.
Strauss is class, Tres is prone to awful dismissals, Vaughan often looks shaky, Bell is untested but looks good, Pietersen is untested at Test level and is a bit "all or nothing" on the county circuit, Flintoff can be fantastic but has been average in the last six months, Jones hasn't fullfilled early promise.
Many newspapers are saying that Warne is the difference between the two sides. It's true that the Aussies are mostly better on paper than our boys, but I reckon Warne and Gilchrist are the difference. I mean, normally you get down to number 7 and think you've got through the thick of it. With him it can be just beginning.
Anyway, it's not over till the fat bowler spins 😀
