Well lads and ladies, it is that time of year when The World Thoroughbred Championships comes to town and this year it is at Lone Star Park in DFW, Texas. I have been lucky enough to attend for the last six years and I seem to do OK on the betting front, but as I have hopefully some decent gamblers at my fingertips here at RHP, I thought I would start a thread to see what your thoughts were on the various contenders. I may then even stand a chance of winning some decent money.
I go each year with a bunch of friends and we have been lucky enough, as a pool, to get 5 out of 6 in the $5million jackpot three times in the last six attempts. One year we were one horse away from winning $240,000 each.
So here are the races in the Pick Six Jackpot, so advice or hunches are very welcome.
The Sprint
The Mile
The Fillie and Mares Turf
The Juvenile
The Turf
The Classic
My thoughts so far are Ouija Board in the F&M Turf, Kitten's Joy in the Turf and possibly Birdstone in the Classic. Not very original I know and I am sure you can do better.
Cheers

Very good thread, funny enough that some days ago I named a chess game with Parrish ''Azeri vs OuijaBoard'' ,you know what I mean........
Originally posted by RavelloI do know what you mean. I do hope Azeri does not go into the Classic and I equally hope that Ouija board doesn't go into the Turf. I have an ante-post bet on Kitten's Joy in The Turf and I am worried Ouija may endanger that.

I'm starting to get some interesting pieces of information out of Lone Star Park. Apparently in the Sprints, it is best to keep up with the pace if you want to win and in the mile turf races, it is best to come from quite a way off the pace.
I see Crimson Palace has scratched already and also Aiden O'Brien is entered Mona Lisa in the Juvenile Fillies and Scandinavia in the Juvenile.
