A dog will fetch a thrown stick and come loping back begging you to throw it again.

A cat will look at the thrown stick and give you a look which says, "you threw it, nitwit, you go get it."

moonbus, a friend who loves her cats and treats them as royalty once said: "Ask a dog to do something,
the dog does it; ask a cat to do something, the cat says 'my people will get back to your people'."

Cats eat cat food, dogs will eat dog food and cat food.

Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.

Humans domesticated dogs to help in the hunt and to bark at night in case predators got too close to the camp.

Cats domesticated humans so the cats wouldn't have to hunt any more or stay awake nights in case predators got too close.

My cat Tilly has a dog complex because there is nothing she likes best than to play hide and seek and "football" - she catches the ball in the air and kicks it back to you, she waits for you to play and will not let you go until you spend a few minutes with her either hiding & seeking or throwing the ball. Most amazing, I was sick a few months ago, unable to move, she stayed by my side 24/24, never bothered me for food or anything, it was as if she understood I could not move.

Hi, Tabitha. Tilly must have an exceptionally high Cat IQ as well as an incredible intuitive sense. How old is she?

Tilly is 4 years old and we all say she is a circus cat because she is very funny with her dog behaviour. 🙂
