Though I may have raised this query,
on a recent night of mental strain,
arising from my labours, bleary,
I scrawl a note in here again,
as if to calm my tired brain.
I asked before, but got no answer,
as to phenomena of forae,
shown not by Taurus or by Cancer,
nor by brilliant bright Aurorae,
so by reason I must foray.
The question's easy and direct,
it asks for one good simple cause,
why fewer post then you'd expect,
at EST's late night, why pause?
Why do ESTs plus eight elect,
to withold talk howe'er correct?
I think the reason's geography
it has to do with when we sleep.
Few sweat o'er their typography
when their countrymen are counting sheep.
Of course you know I mean to say,
that it's so early in the day,
here in the Eastern USA,
that few among us dare to play.
And way out farther to the West,
they've packed up at the last request,
of their dogs and cats and spouses,
and others in their darkened houses,
when nagged to put away their chess,
they say, exasperated, Yes.
And you Euro types are all quite bright,
for over there it's getting light,
but you all sleep as though it's night,
though birds pursue their morning flight.
The same goes for those righteous dudes,
at home in lower latitudes,
who also sleep as suits their moods,
'er munching on their breakfast foods.
Now to complete our expose,
as to why so few will post or play,
until midway through the EST day,
I have one final thing to say.
Remember the RHP census?
That wonderful post that prevents us,
from flinging xenophobic jokes,
that might offend some far-off folks?
Well remember what its numbers yield,
though RHPers are far afield,
most dwell in that wide chunk of Earth,
from Oregon to some chilly Firth,
where all are in the several stages,
(though distant by what seem like ages)
of afternoon and morn and night,
from dawn on one side to twilight,
on the other. And those great peeps who make their home,
on the other side of the Gaiean dome,
don't as a group speak like our hosts,
which explains the paucity of posts!
Originally posted by royalchickenI must say that that is one of the most beautiful peoms I've ever seen. I don't know whether that means that I'm severly undereducated, or if I just stay up to late every night. Good job!!

Originally posted by royalchickenI did not even know about the thread in "The RHP Verse-Off." But now that I do, I must say I am impressed. I liked it so much I copied it to my computer. I may put it in my profile berfore too long.
Thank you kind sir, and I apologize for the one I wrote in the thread "The RHP Verse-Off" after the sound beating you gave me in our game. 'Twas of course in fun 😀.
Originally posted by royalchickenI must confess that I haven't read any of Rhymesters stuff. I will work on that. Unfortunately, your poem is far too long for my profile. Perhaps you can write me something shorter?
The vote of confidence is certainly appreciated. We must acknowledge, though, that Rhymester is the master of us all 😉

To write you a profile.
And so, to that noble end,
though it took a while,
for the slyly grinning kitty,
Iv'e produced a mediocre ditty.......
PROFILE FOR CHESHIRE CAT.
I am a right happy cat,
For this month I was MAP,
All day at RHP I sat,
The keyboard I did slap.
Though moving much I still was able,
To play with mighty skill,
Advancing up the player table,
Multitudes my claws did kill.
I also will TO our game,
In standard circumstances;
I think it fair if you do the same,
If I'm gone pursuing my romances.
Finally, not from laziness,
On tidbit I must say,
A little bit of craziness,
Goes quite a long way!
