I just dug out my old copies of the fab furry freak brothers ...is it just me or does anyone else remember them..they were by an author/cartoon artist called gilbert shelton... three guys living in the good old us smoking stuff and living a life of fantasy......
I was driving in eugene ore some time back and passed a building that had freddy freak on the sign, I looked at my friends and said "so let's visit the local headshop".
One of my favorites is when one of the brothers burns up all his clothes and decides to wear bananas and the media makes a feildday out of it.
O yeah my dad was a stoner.

I've got nine issues stuck away somewhere, and I think that's about all of them. Also some "Fat Freddie's Cat", and various other knock offs.
I can't remember which one, but there was this time that one of the Freak's was asked if he'd like some drugs. His reply of "Is the bear a Catholic? Does a Pope shit in the woods??" is the sort of thing I find amusing, 🙂.
I have quite a few of these.
One of my favourite lines is where they go out into a park to get close to nature. Fat Freddy is obsessed with the bears and one of the other brothers keeps saying "Don't feed the bears now...". Anyway, the bears start to go a little crazy, the brother says "Fat Freddy, did you feed the bears?". Fat Freddy says "I just gave them a little acid!".
There used to be a guy who went to a pub I went to who looked just like Fat Freddy. Funnily enough, he did sell drugs, too.

I've got a friend who has every issue. I don't think there were very many. You may want to check into them as they may be worth something as collectors items.
I always loved it when Fat Freddies cat would sh!t in his shoes.
