I have finally proven firefox to be an inferior programme to internet explorer.
What happened was, it tried to auto update itself while I was playing some blitz so
I cancelled the updating process for the time being (I didnt want to slow my blitz down even
for a few seconds).
Anyway, I logged off and forgot all about it - then the next day I came on to do some very
quick emails and loaded it up so, rather then doing what it was told, it immediately started
this 'update' which crashed the computer when I tried to close it down. Now the computer is
up and running again, but firefox has been corrupted beyond repair and will never run again -
I even tried to uninstall all the files and erase them but there still is something lurking
that prevents me from downloading a new copy and reinstalling it without an error.

So there you have it, Internet Explorer wins out. It might let piles of viruses through and has
less fancy features, but at least it keeps on chugging away no matter what you hit it with.

IE7 has more fancy features and doesn't let in any viruses.... plus, I have gotten viruses while using FF but never while using any version of IE.

LMAO.
you are joking of course!

With the thousands of add-ons available for FF, IE has no chance of being as safe, fancy or fast. You are mistaken.

As for the virus issue - oh dear, never mind. 🙄

IE7 has add-ons too and, I have been told, there is now an even newer version of IE.

IE7 is a very poor version of firefox, the add-ons are rubbish, it STILL doesn't conform to web standards and is just as prone to crashes as any other Microsoft product. Anyone who seriously continues to actually prefer using IE to firefox, or is intent on somehow proving firefox inferior is not only wasting their time, but also making fools of themselves.

Maybe its the people who parade their opinions as fact are the ones appearing as fools.

I have loaded and unloaded FF so many times its disgusting, FF tries to take over your computer. I don't need FF to decide how I use my PC. Hang in there IE works fine fo us everyday users.

Then why is it that a few of my links have drawn the ire of people complaining that they contained viruses which my computer never received (since I use FF)?

Do you have any virus blocker..like McAfee or Norton?

Firefox hooked me up with Greasemonkey. When I woke up in the morning, my wallet was gone from the hotel room!

Those are lightweights. I have AVG for viruses, plus a firewall and spyware protection. Nothing has gotten onto my computer through FF.

I had Fire Fox with a Grease Monkey extension, then the vice squad raided my house and spoiled my weekend.
Or weak end, I am not sure. 😞
