Sad, sad story.

Yeah. I lifted weights with him in high school but didn't really know him. It seems so surreal now. Like it didn't even happen. Makes you realize how vulnerable you are, and that tomorrow is not promised. He didn't even live to be 18 years old.

Well, the good thing is that it seems he was well liked and had a good life up until the accident. I feel incredibly bad for the close relatives though. His younger siblings, parents, friends and girlfriend. It's an awful thing to have someone you love snatched away like that.

My condolences to those people.

Maybe he should pay attention. Not trying to be crude or act like a big fat idiot, but people that die in car crashes must be idiots. i ride a bike like a madman, have for almost two decades and i haven't been hit once. i take my chances even on freeways (read : those days are long gone, after i took a second look) but the po-po knows better than to try to "catch" me, even on a good day, even on a crappy bike. If i am carrying my DOC (read: light fixture and peso) i always am ready to take a tumble, and sometime i even take corners looking the wrong way just in case they miss it. Due to the high amount of traffic at intersections, sometimes the chances of me getting "through" are rather gettin' silly small, due to unrealistic constraints and the amount of traffic, which happens to be alot, but they always assume that they can catch me, knowing full well i floor it no matter what i am driving and how fast i am going in the first place.

Sure the gears limit the drive train(s), but that DOES not limit how fast i can travel, how quick i am, or how pumped i just happen to be, never mind how fast i can move, especieally on a good bike that won't fail. In other words the cops always know me and they know that the only way to stop me is to shoot me, and that is against the law.

Not a car.

So basically you are saying that you are breaking the law in anyway you can, endagering all other people on the road since the cars half the time do not have any idea what you will be doing next and probably need to brake like there is no tomorrow quite often.
And you are proud of that 🙁

It is a sad world

And my condolences to the family and friends

What you're doing on your bike is causing trouble for all the others. Noone driving a car wants to hit a biker. You can just imagine how horrible it would be having to see a person smack against the windshield, fall on the ground and get knocked silly. If you don't think that image is just horrible you've got some serious psychological issues on your hands there.

When you "take your chances" you're probably causing others to step on their brakes and possibly 'cause crashes. You need to grow up and act a little more mature. Trafficking, whether you're riding a bike or a truck is about co-operation. Too few people seem to understand this. Mix that inability to grasp such a basic thing with inexperience and a momentarily lapse of concentration and you got the ingredients for a really nasty accident. Don't you call a seventeen year old, sober man who dies in a carcrash (probably due to a momentarily lapse of concentration) an idiot. It only reflects ignorance and frankly, it makes you look like a complete fool not even capable of recognising the most basic facts of trafficking.

Oh, and why do you think you're always "winning" the race? Could it be that most people realise it's wrong what you do and actually read the traffic instead of just taking their space without regard to anyone else? Just a thought.

Sport utility vehicle
Not used, as the name suggests, for either sports or 'utilities'.
It's used by short men as a very expensive penis enlargement and by trophy wives to go shopping or pick up the kids from school.
