Money is a pleasure only if shared with others. Generosity is the key to happiness.

True, but at least it allows you to be unhappy in comfort.

Also, a lack of money definitely increases one's unhappiness.
There’s no comfort in worry either.
Just imagining having to juggle all of those investments, not to mention the worry of who you can and can’t trust to look after your lolly for you? We all know what happened to Elvis.

Poor man, he had it all; great voice, great looks then stressed to the point of over indulgence 😢

We all know what happened to Elvis.
Elvis has just left the building --
Those are his footprints, right there
Elvis has just left the building --
To climb up that heavenly stair
He gave away Cadillacs once in a while;
Had sex in his underpants,
Yes, he had style!
Bell-bottom jump-suits?
That's them in a pile,
But he don't need'em now,
'Cause he's makin' Jesus smile!
The Angels all love him,
He brings them relief
With droplets of moisture
From his handkerchief!
Cher'bim 'n ser'phim
Whizz over his head --
Jesus, let him come back!
We don't want Elvis dead.
So what if he looks like a wart-hog in heat?
He knows we all love him --
We'll just watch him eat,
So take down the foil
From his hotel retreat,
And bring back The King
For the man in the street!

~ Frank Zappa

I know what you mean, jelly bean 🙂

I went to Las Vegas once all alone and with a lot of money. I had a BALL!!
Of course, I was generous and I shared it all with my casino buddies 🙂

Drew, some people really get into the trading of stock and all that financial stuff. You can make
good money as a day trader. Think of it like *real* Monopoly.

All you need is a bull market and a short memory.

If you think that Elvis worried more than the homeless guy starving outside the gates of Graceland, no God can save your soul.

"The happiest people are the givers not the takers".

Sounds plausible but is it necessarily true?

What other plausible, but not necessarily true, bits of alleged wisdom can you come up with?
Happiest people are
- Healthy
- Contented
- Do stuff to enjoy life
