Having never posted to "the longest thread"... let's correct it.
Let's see...
Is there a "least minimum" integral between any two "real numbers"?
If so, what is it?
Is there a point... as integers approach infinity ...<or any limit> where a real number "instantiated" from that integer would be "close enough" to infinity <or limit> ...[text shortened]... ou just don't listen, ya know? Et Tu this, Et Tu that... You just don't listen... ya know?"
enjoyed Mike's pun,
enough: I should extol it.

Rome: one can't control it.
So pay great heed,
though roads may lead,
onward to the heart,
conquer not,
that holy spot,
where conspiracies start.
Your question will be answered sans doggerel.....look in P&P, "Mike's Question" (this must be bothering you, as the two are equivalent). All I'll say here, as I don't like using this thread, is that it is very dangerous to use "infinity" and some defined value "the speed of light" interchangeably. The things you are talking of are conceptually very different.

See... there you go... but... information exchange rate is equal to infinity/speed of light ... my question , or feeling really... is ... oh hell, i don't even know... just feels wrong to have a physical limit on where we can and can't go. It ain't fair! "Give me Sirius or give me Death!"...

Long live The Illustrious Loonies Clan !!
That dog is talking to me.
Sanity and normalacy are FAR overrated if you ask me. Besides, what fun is there to be had in such things? I need them not.
That dog is scaring me.
The Looney Clan is THE place for anyone with a streak of individuality in them. For what is an individual if not unique? And is not the most unique things considered looney? Indeed, there is power in such. The power of our lunacy.
That dog is drinking my tea.
Best of wishes to all of you my fellow lunatics.

Only fitting that you should post in this thread, as you were the first ever poster in the RHP forums back on May 1st 2001...
