I understand there is a very nice annual tournament in Nottingham - any idea when that is Gazza?
I could come and play the tournament and collect my pint at the same time!😏

erm....😳 no idea. I'm kinda new to the chess scene, only really started playing seriously when I found this site. Consequently I have a less than comprehensive knowledge of , well most things really, but chess tournaments and the fine details of chess in particular, as you will gather if you look at any of my games.😀

And I've got to object to 'Gazza', anyone who links me to the footballer most famous for doing this :'( will only get a free pint of the stuff we clean the lines with.😉

ps, I run a pub quiz every week, how about a thread with pub quiz questions? It's probably a little too low-brow for the guys in the posers and puzzles forum, but slightly more my metier.

Cool. Well if you get a petition to get this thread stopped and get everyone to sign a petition saying that a thread existing simply to be really long is a bad idea, and get everyone to post their votes, then we'd have..... a really long thread.
