He he, the injustice of the red tape in this world. π
How late do you plan on staying up anyway? What is it now, about 4:15 where you're at? π²
what the time there?
good morningπ

so why are you up late?

I haven't played the games, but DANG I love the books (and the movies of course). I'm guessing the two games probably follow the two movies, although one may go more by the book than the movie.
Since I'm all about RPGs, I can tell you what's good.
If you like the D&D kind of stuff, get Summoner (or Summoner 2)
If you enjoy fantastic worlds and ...[text shortened]... ere are a lot of others I could mention, but one of these two will satisfy almost anyone.

nb. would it be possible to play any of these if the text/speech was in a foreign language, as I can ususally only find games in French.
Originally posted by belgianfreakI haven't played II yet and have been wondering the same myself. I really think you can't go wrong with FFX, but it's not like some of the others. Really it's more like watching a movie and at times you play. LOADS of cinema! You could try spun.com for just about any game in English. They're not the cheapest, nor do they have everything in stock most of the time, but it's worth a shot.

I would think that since we liked Summoner, we will probably like the sequel. I have an odd question for you though. You see, my copy of Summoner went to crap on me after I got the third ring. I have it again and am almost to where I was before. The question: I have encountered those dwarf like guys, but how do I get them to take me to where I can get the last ring? I was stuck on that one last time and want to take any neccessary steps now before I get stuck again. Thanks!π
dwarf like guys? You mean the guys who live in the caves who look like monkies? It's a long time since I played it & I can't remember all the details. If you explain exactly where you are and what you have done so far I might remember more.
But I'll tell you this much for free - if you've only got 3 rings you have a LONG way to go <tee hee>
Originally posted by belgianfreakA long way to go eh? Good! After all, the adventure is the reward. Now, I'm at that really big mountain at the edge of the first continent. I know I'm supposed to talk to the "monkeys" (lol) to get the fourth ring, but when I encounter them they always tell me to go away. Do you remember what to do? I'm not there yet, but I remember that I couldn't figure out what I needed to do. Do I do something with them or is there someplace else I must go? Thanks for your help. I'd hate to have gotten the game again only to get stuck at the same point once more. π

erm, I can't remember. I seem to rememer that they tell you to bugger off the first time because they don't trust you, then I went back somewhere I'd been before, something had changed, I dealt with it, so they trusted me when I went back again. I'm fairly sure you have to go somewhere else. Not much help I know - that's the major problem with RPG's, that you can get stuck because you don't know where to go next to get the game to continue.
