The 'miss' commercial

So this commercial features Jordan missing the final shot of the game, some famous baseball play I'm not familiar with, and Dwight Clark missing "The Catch."

It's freaking amazing. A seamless edit like it had actually happened that way. How do they go about editing famous footage like this?

The baseball play by the way was from game three of the 2001 ALCS in Oakland... with the A's leading two games to none. That's Jeter coming from nowhere to relay the throw. Posada tagged out Giambi preventing the tying run. The Yanks went on to win the series.
