I meant cricket is not easily taken up in countries that historically do not play it - because of the reasons mentioned.
Here, the Windies, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh - all are relatively poor countries, but cricket has a foothold and infrastructure, so kids can play it.

Sport is about mens sana in corpore sano. Chess exercises the mens; physical sports, even baseball, exercise the corpus. What does fishing exercise? Oh yeah, the facility to blank the mind, stare at a sinker, and torture a fish. Little sanus about that, ISTM.
