Seeing as different people worship different Gods, and I have no reason to believe that any of the revealed Gods [that various believers describe] actually exist as described.

Seeing as these Gods, in my view, simply stand as supernatural figures at the epicentres of ideologies, I think to refer to a person's "God figure" or people's "God figures" is the appropriate way for m ...[text shortened]... God figures.

Hence my chosen terminology.

If anyone finds it "offensive", please explain why.
IT is offensive because i don't give a toss about god and even when the troll of the spirituality still have to bring more religious garbage into the general forum.

I do remember at least one occasion when someone started a sports-related topic here on this forum and Very Rusty said "Take it to the Sports Forum". The poster said he wanted to discuss the topic with the General Forum community. So, Very Rusty said "Take it to the Sports Forum" again. And then two or three posters started discussing the topic. And Very Rusty said "Take it to the Sports Forum" again. And then there were six or seven posters discussing the topic. And Very Rusty posted "Take it to the Sports Forum" again. And again and again. And then the thread was into its third or fourth page and there were a dozen General Forum posters joining in the discussion. And Very Rusty posted "Take it to the Sports Forum" again. And again. But. He eventually stopped.

I'm an A-hole but I'm not that cruel.

It's bad enough just seeing his daily posts.

Imagine reading all of them one after another. 😳
