...but it was all just too implausible and contrived ~ little more than a dressed-up B-movie caper ~ with leading characters whose motivations and decisions were not realistic and their abilities/powers to affect reality rather far-fetched ~ a bit comic book, even.

It had lots of promise and was hyped by the tv station.
But we only managed 1 episode.
