Remember going to the cinema to see it. Class.
I remember going to the theater in 1954 and having to pay an extra dime to purchase a pair of 3D glasses that had one red and one blue lens, in order to watch "Creature from the Black Lagoon" in 3D.
Now that is some serious "passing of time", I think! πŸ™‚

Dang, I hope they let you keep those glasses.

They were pretty cheap, made from thin cardboard and colored cellophane.
I just checked and you can still find them online. But they're not a dime anymore.

I remember, before we had a TV, we used to sit in the living room listening to The Lone Ranger or Inner Sanctum on the radio. Pretty sure it was in the early 50s. Those were the days when ya had to imagine the scenes. The mind’s eye can be very vivid.πŸ€”πŸ‘

I think my father bought our first black/white 18" TV mid 50's, and I remember the Football World Championship in Sweden in 1958 when the winning team Brazil carried the Swedish flag while running round the arena. ❀️

I do remember the old black white TV's....I also remember having to go up in the attic to adjust the antenna from time to time. This would be in the late 60's.

Or getting up turning the foil covered clothes hanger till the picture comes in because the antenna broke. I also remember being the remote when told to change the channel with the pliers for the same reason😁…

I was also the remote and would have to change from one channel to the other. We only had 3 channels and one was in French other two in English. I said some day they will have a flicker thing that you hold in your hands and can turn the channel and turn the TV up or down. Little did I know at the time eventually it would come to be and be called a remote.....LOL...They laughed at me at the time! πŸ™‚

That was some good insight and thinking, and I don’t care who you areπŸ™‚.

I've often wondered if my older cousins remembered my prediction and their laughter. πŸ™‚
