A perfect Saturday? Waking early after rain to see the sun breaking through drifting clouds. Watch BBC Breakfast and youtube gardening videos over a pot of coffee while doing a few exercises. Satisfy the dog with a quick game of ball on the green then survey my veg plot to monitor the recent progress of the bees on my runner & broad beans. Uncover any drying logs and cover any active compost heaps to best utilise the day’s sun. In for another coffee, quick breakfast then an hour’s countryside dog walk/ jog listening to relaxing music . Have a quick nap before a drive to the beach with a friend to chat and eat fish & chips in the car in view of the sea and rocks then return home to a few relaxing gardening tasks. Check on my tournament games before falling bed feeling pleased with my day’s progress.

I’m kind of driven I think, there’s no such thing as a happy, relaxing day in my world 😉

I think one of two things will come of your escapades. Here’s hoping it’s the second.👍🤔

Perfect Saturday: Go into town with a pal and get hammered.

Wake up late, light yoga workout, a long walk, retreat into my little room, with a pot of Earl Grey, sandwich on freshly baked bread, then break out the board and pieces and happy hours spent analyzing active game positions to the point of silliness. Afterwards The Woodpecker Method with tactics study, all the while listening to my favorite background music (Below) Off to bed ...[text shortened]... ntil tomorrow!

So - What's your perfect Saturday?

Respect if you get through 'The Woodpecker Method.' I got so far but gave up in the end. Too hard.
