Apparently, it was an interesting enough topic. Wish I had access to the list of approved topics...
"When are you going to answer my PM."
Bumping old threads causes confusion and delay. There are times to bump old threads, but it has to be a good reason. Otherwise, all the 'Johny Jokers' like yourself would be bumping old threads for laughs. For every old thread bumped, a new thread falls off page one.

It wasn't merely a case of "Johny Joker" (not really sure I get the reference; must be a culture thing), it was to be a comment on the passage of time, on the 1123 pages of mundane, on the shared prevailing insistence we have for being relevant in a system designed for disposal.
Not necessarily deep, philosophically-speaking, but certainly more than a failed attempt at being clever. Well, at least 'attempt' fits.

2) Five hours later, when you had finally fabricated a reason for bumping it, you supposedly started writing a post explaining yourself but the thread was conveniently closed.
3) You're not grateful that a kind moderator was online at the time because I've seen people banned for doing what you did.
LOL.

The first post was at 3:36 in the AM. No one was responding, so I went to bed. My next post was at 8:29, five hours later. A guy can't sleep?

I think your mother's heavy-handed tactics are deplorable. You should run upstairs and tell (ask) her to stop being such a bully to your friend(s).
Fact is, over in Culture, some fellow named Bellow resurrected a two-year old thread about movies (instead of starting his own), and--- miracle of miracles--- the thread continues on unabated.
My snatch had a point unrelated to anything from the original thread, save time itself.

So... you had "a point" in bumping a thread from 2001 by posting When are you going to answer my PM. to a user that left RHP almost 9 years ago...
But then just when you were about to get to that point only five hours later than your original nonsensical bump the mods closed the thread not taking into account your need to have a nap.
Imagine a forum where everyone operated like you:
"I'm just posting this here now because I want to post more stuff here later and I want to see what happens but my real post is only coming later."
So where's this post then? Tell us what you wanted to post. Sit down, take ALL THE TIME YOU NEED, and type it up for us. Dazzle me.

My point would have never been brought out, had no one responded to the first chuckle... whether it was five hours later or five days later is irrelevant.
Had I been up two hours later when someone responded, I would have made my point then.
So where's this post then? Tell us what you wanted to post. Sit down, take ALL THE TIME YOU NEED, and type it up for us. Dazzle me.
Wait for it, wait for it...
Oh! There it is! It was the fourth post of this thread! Imagine that!
