@great-big-stees saidGreat, thank you. 🙂
We do, on occasion, need a break from the hustle and bustle of our normal routines here. Care to join me in a glass of a Mouton Rothschild? I managed, in 1997@ a Christie’s auction to get my hands on a 1945 Chateau Mouton Rothschild. I’ve been looking for a reason to open it and low and behold here we are.👍
@great-big-stees saidhe's on the frozen tundra rooting for Green Bay
Perhaps we could include a nice cheese tray. Is chef in today?
that's where the real cheese is made and worn
@lemondrop saidMy favorite is cheddar and crackers.

@great-big-stees saidFine with me whoever he is.
I’ve invited Aaron Rogers to join us. He said he’d bring the cheese.
@torunn saidDon’t worry, it’s a name familiar to folks who follow North American football 🏈. I know you asked for cheddar cheese and chef has arranged a tray containing many different varieties for our enjoyment. Enjoy.👍
Fine with me whoever he is.
@great-big-stees saidYou will probably be disappointed.

Old wine goes off and is usually undrinkable.
However collectors do pay a fortune for the stuff so you would be better off putting it back up for auction.
@the-gravedigger saidMy dear sir/madame, the only thing I every invest in are markets, not wines. Wine is for drinking. Care to try it?🤔👍

@the-gravedigger saidActually the Mouton Rothschild 1945 is one of the odd one out. It keeps very well (I didn't taste it, but a quite famous Suebian cook vouched for that.)

@ponderable saidFair enough.

A good palm of mine works in an auction house.
They do a roaring trade in old wines but he told me they are undrinkable.
And usually corked.
@the-gravedigger saidOur wines, here at the Tavern, are all closely watched by our “wine expert” Louis de Boulanger 1V, who actually offered his expertise gratis/free. He assures me all of our extensive collection are all drinkable and pleasant to the pallet, as you will see when you partake in any of them.
