It is pretty much down to what every baseball fan loves. The post season!!! The time when only one team goes out with a win. Out of 8 teams we have 8 so far.
NL AL
Cardinals Yankees
Braves RedSox
Dodgers Twins
With the NL wild card comind down to the wire, and the AL East even tighter, since they play each other, it is going to be a sweet thing.
On another note you have Ichiro 1 hit form tieing 2 from breaking the one season hit record, I think he's got it in the bag, weel just have to see.
What I see going into the playoffs. Cardinals are really struggling, not a good sign. Pedro Martinez steps down form #1 to give it to Kurt?? I think that this will help them big time.
Finally, I think the Braves will wion it with all there young people, a very strong looking pitching staff, but will the defense mess them up???
If you agree with some of the things ive said please reccomend, so that others will read this, I want to know what everyone thinks.

Wake me up when the playoffs start.
(They haven't started already, have they?)
Originally posted by Brad EstaI believe Pedro will do fine in the post-season. It is his contract year, remember? I have a theory that he's been "saving" himself for the playoffs, but come playoff team he'll give it all he has. And before anyone comes back with, "Well what kind of a competitor does that make him?" Let me say, a smart one. Remember that he's pretty fragile, and this is the first time in a few years that he's pitched a full season without missing any starts. Would I rather Pedro give it everything he has right now, so that he has nothing left for the playoffs? No, I prefer he be in top form for the playoffs.

He seemed to get upset the other night he had a bad start... and for an inning he retired the side after bases were loaded.
He had a look, and gave it his all, but he lost that game to Devilrays.
Schilling got the start, as he deserves. I just fear next year Pedro will have pin stipes on and will win 19 or so games.
Wakefield needs to wake up, Lowe too.... Mendoza is doing ok? Bronson is my pick for #3 pitcher for Sox... He needs playoff experiance.

Rec my post if you are a foolish Sox fan.

If it sets your mind at ease, I read an article that quoted Pedro as saying that he wants to stay with Boston next year, and will give them the first opportunity to re-sign him.
Wakefield gave a quality start against the troublesome Orioles: 6 innings, 2 runs on 6 hits. That's encouraging.
Arroyo, at his best, has some nasty stuff, but he still scares the heck out of me. He can be wildly erratic at times, and when he doesn't have it, he REALLY doesn't have it.
Lowe: forget about him. No way he should start any games in the postseason. He's been "solved", so to speak. That's why he was a relief pitcher in the first place. He should be used as a situational relief pitcher, when there are men on base and a ground ball is needed.
Schilling. Well, he's Schilling. What else can you say about him. This team is going to ride him to wherever it is they're going.
I won't fish for recs the way Phlab did, but if anyone is feeling generous.....
I don't know if this is really what you meant by the subject-line but about five years ago I went to a Marlins-Expos game and there was some guy there named Dave D----- something something, lol I have no idea who it was but whatever, everyone was getting his autograph so I got his autograph on a ball I had bought at one of the concessions stands and I have had it in a baseball-collectible holder for the last five years, and every now and then I take it out and smell it and it STILL to this day smells like it did five years ago... Its hard to explain the smell but its like a mix of grass and fine leather. To me its probably the greatest smell in the world. I wonder how long it will last.....
