Who here has had close calls with death? Anyone ever get that situation where the doctor stands over you and yells "CLEAR!!"

Here's mine: two years ago, I went snowboarding in a steep valley. The only problem was that being in Northern Ontario, there were tress everywhere. Well . . . I hit one near the bottom of the valley wall. I mean actual smack into it, full force and I did not keep on going. I shattered a wrist and got a concussion. Also painful bruising on my knees and face. I was alone and a fair distance from my house. Now there was no blizzard, and I wasn't to within an inch of death when a rescuer finds me, but it was a difficult walk.

And the worst of it was that I didn't make it . . .

I would hate to have to go to hell. It's too hot. They say temperature decreases with altitude, so maybe I am better suited for heaven.

On two occasions in my life I have run out into the road without looking and everything has gone slow motion as I realised I was infront of a car moving fast enough to hit me. On both occasions I somehow got out of the way nad cannot figure out how (apart from the obvious legs moving faster).

My guess is that the third time the car will get lucky.

I think I died in around 1983. Can't remember how, but things have never been the same since.

I had a head on car smash at 60mph (combines 120 mph) and had to climb out through the back door as the engin was sitting beside me at the front. Lucky to be alive but didnt get any of the slow motion life before yr eyes visions. Was too busy sh*tting my self!
