Anyway, I'm in two minds about Carroll. On the one hand, he could have been so much better off now if he'd been a bit more prudent. On the other hand, he had a complete blast, and isn't really any worse off than he was before. I'd have preferred the first outcome, but I can't blame him for choosing (if it was an active choice) the second.

When the dust settles, I hope he doesn't find that too many of his friendships and relationships have not been damaged in the course of this money-driven personal whirlwind he experienced.

bit like viv nichols back in the 60s.....spend,spend,spend, 4 husbands 2 died in car crashes, lived her final 25 years alone I think she won around 130,000 pounds valued today around 3 million, wrote a best selling book, play and film still died skint.....dementia in a care home.
