Is anyone else subscribed to a fantasy football (premiership) website? I'm especially interested if anyone has joined the Times FF bcus then we can compare teams. I hope anyone who is playing in these online leagues have sucessful seasons. Personally I can't wait until it all gets underway!

I was thinking about The Times one. The £10 price tag kinda scared me off though.

I'll be doing one here: http://uk.premiership.fantasysports.yahoo.com/

It's the Yahoo one and to the joy of miserly bods like me it's free. If anyone's interested I could set up an RHP league.

Are you guys talking about American Foot Ball????

I've been thinking about Fantasy Football. Bugs Bunny plays for sure... but I am not sure if I know players well enough to make a good team.

If your talking about Soccer... Bah!

Phlabby my dear old thing, this is about association football, jumpers for goalposts, 22 nubile young men running around the pitch wearing shorts, attempting to kick or head a pig's bladder into a net.

Also happens to be arguably the world's most popular sport (although fishing rules the roost in terms of participation I believe).

PS. I may, dear guru, need some more website help sometime soon

Yup, they just can't get your football to fly over here in the US.... even though it is very popular to play in school... and no one know why.

The Simpsons has come closest. They show your football being played and an American announcer saying. "...passes the ball to the guard, guard to wing, the wing passes the ball...." and in the next booth is a Spanish announcer yelling "... passes the ball to the guard!!!! Guard to Wing!!!!! The wing passes the ball!!!!!".

too funny.
😉

Yup, let me know your HTML questions and I'll see if I can help... I think I will go see what your page is doing now.

we use the bbc FFL to keep score in a little league amoungst friends. Alas the scoring system is pritty awful, as is their monthly reset (note: bbc 'months' are fairly random).

But it is free. beggers can't be choosers (apparently)

If you signed up to the Times site before the start of August it was only £5. They also had a deal running that if you entered 4 teams you got a 5th for free. That makes 5 teams for £20 the equavalent of 2 teams now. Paying money to play FF is worth it because the websites that you pay for are better run. Personally I much prefer the Times way of point scoring compared to the free websites out there. One other small point, £100,000 to the season winner. The team that's going to win: [gSc]^aDDicts* 🙄

Count me in.

I'll be creating my Times team today.

Also I'll enter the Yahoo and BBC ones if someone is keeping a mini-league going - just let me know what info you need from me to stick me in the league.

Last year I did the SkySports one. I didn't like that one so much. I always used to do the Telegraph but they fell behind when it came to online versions and they used to make you do transfers via premium-rate phone calls. Boo.
