There I am on my luxurious 20 foot deck cooking steaks on my Webber gas grill w/ porcelain rack and I notice a turtle behind my garage. I walk over, and he's digging a hole... poor little guy must be hot? Looking for a cool hole to rest in?

Anyway, I'm going to finish the steaks and I'll get a box and take the turtle down to the river about a mile away. I finish the steaks, and get a box and a blanket.

Well, I get out there and turns out he's a she and started filling the hole with eggs. Got the camera, here is a 47 second Quick Time movie.

Now, how long until I have baby turtles running around my yard? Looks like a Sun Turtle, right?

How long do turtle eggs take to hatch?
Keep an eye over that spot, don't let anything which might enjoy a turtle egg snack near.

I'm considering some chicken wire for the corner of the garage where the eggs are.

A friend of mine is a big comic book collector. As a joke, he purchased this new comic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1) and gave it to a 7 year old cousin who used it as a coloring book.
