This is terrifying!

Guess in theory I owe about $28,767.

I'm not belittling this staggering statistic, but the US is ranked 86th out of 218 countries in its debt load.

Again 7 trillion is not something to trivialize, but there are plenty of countries with a worse debt load than the US, even some you wouldn't expect.
