Read all the way through if you have the time or patience to, or just skip to the end for the point 😉

You never know the value of something, truly, until it is gone. Among my school, soccer team, neighborhood, e.t.c., I am known as the teen of a thousand "hairs". Over the past few months I have experimented with many different hairstyles, ranging from long, to short, to medium, to straight, to curly, to braided, to dreaded [most recently], and to most any other hair imaginable...

However, my original 'look', of longish, straight, hair, has been appealing to me more and more. My most recent look was braids, in an attempt to get dreadlocks. This worked for the first few weeks, at which point things took a turn for the worst. Some braids stayed in and proceeded to dread, while others fell out, and became completely straight within days, while others stayed. Now, my hair looks like a melting pot of cultures manifested on my head.

Back to the point, my original look has been calling back to me, and it is at this point that I miss my look more and more so every single day. So, I am going to say goodbye to the present, and take a look back to something fond from my past.

Would anybody care to share a similar experience? Anything that all of you wish you could have taken back, but only after it was gone? Perhaps even a great-aunt, for example mine whom I had never communicated much with at all, but until she was gone I had never really appreciated what she did for me as much.

Well anyway, I hope this is a successful attempt at a General Forum thread. Post please!

Appreciated my parents at the time... and even more so with the passing of the years.
