I think in my application they enjoyed it when I said I "want to match wits with Fiona" - I knew that would pull me through 😉

It's a general knowledge game show.
It airs here and started in the UK I think. It's in the US as well (I think?).

A team of people answer questions for money and each round someone is voted out by the team until only 2 people are left. They play head-to-head for the money then.

You forgot to add that the show host is a she-devil with a poison tongue who mocks the contestants' intelligence without mercy.

I could be biased, but the South African presenter Fiona Coyne is a lot more evil than any of the other ones I've seen.

The wife of a good friend of mine went on TWL after she decided to try for as many TV shows as possible. Amazingly, she won.

On one other quiz show she did, she didn’t do so well, and on another day-time (and therefore, rubbish) clearing-out-your-house TV programme she was on, I even made an appearance myself (in RHP shirt too 🙂 ) I kept that one quiet when it went out - the only person here I know who watched it was Rhymester. It has been repeated since, but will probably never resurface again now.
