I liked it rougher too, even though some of it's a bit personal and vicious and nasty. I fear it's stagnation, not enough original posters left, although there are still plenty who regurgitate others' stuff or push their own self-promotion barrows. Look back at the early forum pages (page numbers above 500) and you may find a few surprises.

Just making an idle observation, and I stress 'idle' because I haven't troubled myself looking for further examples.. but I do wonder whether there's truth to the opinion that a lot of potential posters are put off bothering because of what they observe not in actual content of the thread but in what appears evident here..posters 'wandering in and out' of threads and literally making personal 'nit picking' remarks about A N Other. I think 'most' here do a good job of progressing these threads, making good points with regard to the topic, but 'some' should perhaps think more wisely and just wander off somewhere else before they once again find the need to find fault with literally anything and everything...
