Originally posted by shavixmirI feel EXACTLY the same way about many heartless hardliner conservative politicians. To a conservative, money/job is first, family second, community? Blah, they don't even beleive in community! I feel sorry for Germany right now, seems like a repeat of the woman that shall not be further named.
Far be it for me to wish to spout hatred upon these fair forums, but "she who's name shall not be mentioned" has turned 80 and I feel it as an obligation...nay...a duty to say a few words to commemorate this special occasion.
I hate her. I seriously, seriously, seriously hate the bitch and I hope she suffers a slow and VERY painful death.
I ...[text shortened]... breath.
She may well have turned 80, I can but hope this is the last birthday she ever has.

Originally posted by CanadaguyThank you for so very kindly proving my point. Have a nice day, enjoy your dollars, but at the very least, be honest (something you cons are not), and admit to your wife you value money more then her, after all, you said it comes first, and it's what "makes you a person". If I get temp banned over this, after the reply you gave me proving my point, I'd have to wonder, freedom of speech seems to only apply to some, I guess only some are allowed to make fools out of themselves...
You are so full of sh*t. I cannot believe how full of sh*t you are. You know nothing about which you talk. You fete out examples of bad human beings and tout them as the "examples" of conservatism. Its closed minded narrow brained nitwits like you that are preventing any real progress to the human species.
Why shouldn't your money/ job situation ...[text shortened]... y/job influences all my life decisions. If you don't like that try living without one. B*stard

Frequent power cuts? I remember seeing trains falling off the rails due to privitisation in the 90's and last year...
As for the rubbish piling up on the streets...it's the first time the second most important job in Britain ever stood up for the pay they actually deserve to receive. Not like the second class rubbish that is piling up in British politics today...
I remember people working in the 70's and being unemployed in the 80's. Do you?
I remember whole communities being ripped apart because of conservative policies in the 80's, which never happened in the 70's. Do you? Whole minining communities where brothers still don't talk to each other. Remember that? Experience it still? Do you? Do you?
I remember the printing unions being the inspiration for workers all over the Europe. I remember them actually achieving rights which the working man could be proud of.
Yes. I also remember the English arrogance of the late 70's, claiming the unions had too much power.
I remember the discussions around the home.
And yes, I remember the conclusion: Do you want a minority to rule or a majority.
So, yes, even though I was only 8 or 9, I remember minority rule and what it did to the majority.
And so my hatred is argumented and set.
Sorry if you disagree. Lay down beside her if you must, I have no problem urinating over the lot of you conservative, capitalist morons. No problem at all!
PS
As for infantile: It's better to be a child at heart than an adult in boredom.

Could it be the case, though, that rather than just doing things which had either uniquely harmful or helpful effects, she did things that had both harmful and helpful effects simultaneously? If so, the correct emotional response to her would be ambivalence.

no mixed feelings for ex miners in Derbyshire just hatred and if there is i've never met one.
But what of the economy as a whole picked up as a result of Thatcher's policies? Wouldn't the people who have benefitted as a result have as much right to admire her as the miners have to detract her?
And then mightn't her overall legacy be mixed, not just positive or negative?
