My original avatar was a William Blake lithograph depicting Satan inflicting boils upon Job. It was deleted with extreme prejudice. Just be careful about how "evil" you want your avatar to be.
If you're into being abstruse, you can utilize the actual meaning of "avatar." In Hindu mythology, Vishnu's final avatar will save the earth from it's own destruvtion.
