"There are Only Seven Questions" about statements regarding any person, place or thing
which will perpetuate an objective on-topic conversation:

1) Why? 2) Why not? 3) What if? 4) Under what conditions? 5) How? 6) Where? and 7) When?
______________

Your thoughts?[/b]
If there are only seven constructive and response-inducing questions, why do you consider "your thoughts?" to be a good choice for a forum question?

"2) Why not?"

Besides, none of these seven questions invite or involve personality attack;
rather, they stimulate rational thought about overlooked possibilities.

No, I think it was a harmless enough thread, except that I dislike "your thoughts?". It feels to me like an invasion of privacy. My thoughts are my own business, unless I choose of my own free will to reveal them.

How so?
I can be both civil and objective.
I can be both civil and subjective.
I can be uncivil and objective.
I can be uncivil and subjective.
Agreed? If not I will give an example.

Ditto "staying-on topic".

By saying "ditto" like this, aren't you ~ in fact ~ simply avoiding something? 😛

Typing? or are you suggesting he should have done a copy'n'paste? 😉

He was avoiding repeating himself, probably in an attempt to raise his stock artificially here on this forum. 😛

It was indeed an ironic reference to the sort of thing you say about posters you don't seem to approve of. So, it's good that you spotted the irony because it was intended specifically for you to spot. 😉
