"There's something you need to know, in fact there are three privately held secrets being kept from you. I hate like the devil to be one to bear bad tidings that will almost

certainly disillusion you. Not even sure, if I did, that you'd be able to handle the shock and I sure don't want to hurt you. What in God's name should we do?"

Whispered conversation between an emotional husband and his stunned younger wife, overheard as I sat two seats away from them for forty five minutes in the corner of a packed waiting room, reading a copy of Sports Illustrated from the coffee table, until I was called for my quarterly appointment with my new doctor (and blood work) this past Friday.
